So if you are starting with a plant that is nothing more than a rooted cutting all you have to do is pinch off this new growth bud as soon as it is about 3/8” long. If left alone this will produce a very lanky plant with a lot of space between the branches, forming a very unattractive plant. This new bud will develop into another new branch, another bud will form and the process will continue. Typically a Rhododendron forms a single new bud at the tip of each branch. Pinching is a low impact form of pruning that is very effective for creating nice, tight full plants when you are growing small plants from seeds or cuttings. How do you prune Rhododendrons and what does pinching a Rhododendron mean? These are frequently asked questions. Cuttings ensure a duplicate of the parent plant. Seeds from a red Rhododendron are likely to flower pale lavender.

But keep in mind that they don’t come true from seed. It’s also a good idea to pick off the spent blooms so the plants don’t expel a lot of energy making seeds, unless of course you’d like to grow them from seed. These plants start setting next year’s flower buds over the summer, and late pruning will cost you some blooms next year, so get them pruned as soon as they finish blooming. Speaking of tokia, There (is/was) a tokia firebird on t neck. Man, I never thought i would be considering the purchase of a korean les paul knockoff.after owning an Electra in the 70's (what a horrible guitar.tuners, sound, fit, playability.you name it, the Electra sucked in it). the birdseye maple top is really unique and you would have to get a "les paul elegant" to get that in a gibson. The samick les paul is cheap enough (300 bucks) that i won't have to sell my '66 strat to buy it.

I really don't want to part with that guitar even though I would make alot of money off the sale. I have had the strat since i was 16.it was 10 years old (that should give you an idea of how old a fart i am.). I have been offered a real good price for the strat. I was going to sell my strat ('66 model) and get a les paul. Thanks for your input guys.i really appreciate it
